ln case you were wondering how bad things are over at NBC: The network has picked up freshman comedy Kath & Kim for a full season.
This is laughable, because Kath & Kim is easily one of the unfunniest half hours on television.
Still, it's cleverly sandwiched between two of NBC's hit comedies -- My Name Is Earl and The Office -- in its Thursday night lineup, which may explain how it's averaging 6 million viewers each week.
Based on an Australian hit series, the so-called comedy stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as a clueless mother and daughter and was roundly booed by critics.
In happier news, NBC's 30 Rock scored a series-high 8.5 million viewers in its third-season premiere. This week: Oprah!
